The Mystery Sword
The Sword of Goujian is a master piece. Even today we would have trouble trying to replicate it. The Sword is made out of a mixture of Copper and Tin, (a.k.a Bronze) with trace elements of Sulfur and Iron. The Sulfur is what causes the star like pattern, the hilt of the sword is inlaid with blue stones and Turquoise. When archeologists found the tomb of King Goujian, the sword was in a black case beside him. Upon opening the case, they found that the sword was still in perfect condition, and - as one of the archeologists learned - could still cut into flesh as well as it did in its own time.
The tomb where the Sword was found was in Jiangling County Hubei Province, in September 1965.
